ACH Universal > First Steps > ACH Universal Self-Guided Tour > Transmit to Bank

Overview

Transmit to Bank creates and then transmits the file to your bank.  The exact method of the transmission (for example, FTP or email) is bank-specific.  Contact your bank to find out their preferred method.

Required

At this point, transactions have been imported into ACH Universal (if following the Self-Guided Tour).  Optionally, they could have been entered manually.

Steps

Click the Transmit to Bank button.  (Alternatively, you can select Transmit to Bank from the Transmit option off the main menu).

You will see Figure 1 (below).

At the bottom you can see a summary of all the records that were imported (number of records, sum of the transactions, date range), as well as any records that were entered manually or fund transfers from other ACH Universal accounts.

Click Transmit Now.

The ACH file will be created.  At the same time, a web browser will load http://www.treasurysoftware.com/anytown.html which is a sample page at the Treasury Software website showing how the software would transition to a web upload. Also, a box will appear (Figure 3 below) asking if you wish to view the ACH file that was created.  It is a plain text file and will open in Notepad or other similar text editor.
