Amount

Usage: Dollar amount of a transaction

Required: Yes

Restrictions: Cannot map with Debit/Credit or Amount_Reverse_Sign fields

The sign of the dollar amount indicates the type of transaction being performed.  All negative amounts are for funds your organization is paying out, while all positive amounts are funds your organization is collecting.  If the sign of your data is opposite of that, see Amount_Reverse_Sign

If all amounts in the file are positive and the sign is represented in a separate field, see Sign.

If all amounts are positive, but they are split into two columns by debit and credit transactions, see Debit and Credit.
