Bank Reconciliation > Accounts > Switching accounts

Overview

Switching accounts is necessary when you are using multiple accounts in Bank Reconciliation and you wish to move from the current account to another.

Required

It is required that you have created at least one account.

Note: The Sample account should never be used for live data.

Steps

Switching accounts is very straight-forward.  There are two ways to do it. For either method, you need to be at the Bank Reconciliation Main Screen.

Method One

For this example, we are in the Checking account and want to switch to the Payroll account.

Look at Figure 1 (below), a zoomed in shot of the top of the Main Screen.

The dropdown box with the word "Checking" is the Account Selection box.  The working account is always displayed in this box.  To switch accounts, simply change the dropdown to a different account.  For this example, as soon as I change it to Payroll, Bank Reconciliation will load the appropriate settings in the background.

See Figure 2 (below) for the finished product.

Method Two

1.  Select File, then Open/Select Account.

2.  Browse to the appropriate .brd file and click Open.
