ACH Universal - Advanced Topics > ACH Reversals > Entering reversing transactions You can create a reversing entry in any one (or combination) of the following three methods.
I. Manual Input Form the main menu select 'Edit', then 'Add' and enter the transaction as you normally would. Check the 'Reversal' checkbox in the lower left corner to indicate that this is a reversing entry.
I do not have a reversing checkbox Setup - Click on the 'Reverse' hyperlink to display the checkbox. If no hyperlink is visible, from the main menu select 'File', 'Options', 'General', 'Import' tab - Reversal line selection - checkbox.
If 'Reversal' is still not displayed, please check your license level (ACH Universal Pro and above) as this feature is not available in all editions.
II. Import a file - Simple (all records to be reversed) Setup - from the main menu select 'File', 'ACH Setup' and click to the last screen. Click the 'Reversal' tab and click the link. This displays the Reversal menu selection.
Prepare an import file as you would normally do. Then select from the main menu 'Import', 'Reversal' and select and complete the Reversal Import Wizard. All records in the file will be marked as reversing.
III. Import a file - Advanced (mixed) If you want to import reversing records along with regular transactions in the same import file, prepare an import file as you would normally do. In addition, include an extra field with the text: REVERSAL in this field on the rows which have a reversing entry.
When importing these records (from the regular import wizard - not the reversal menu selection), map this new field 'ACH_BatchDescription'.
Only the appropriate records will be marked reversing.
Notes: --You may edit a reversing transaction prior to transmission, just as you would any other transaction, however - you may not change the status of a transaction from reversing to regular or vice versa.
