Updating your system manually

Overview
Typically you can obtain service packs directly from within Treasury
Software.
However, due to your local firewall, your corporate security settings
- or if you have an older version of Treasury Software (pre 10.2),
you may need to update your software manually.
Before you begin
Run Treasury Software and enter into an account. From the main program
menu select Help, then About. Note the version number, date and
service pack. Close Treasury Software.
1. Download
Download the update specific to your version (need your version
number? - see above).
The downloads all follow the following format:

Therefore, recent updates (you can simply click on the link if your
version is listed, otherwise substitute your number:

Download and save it to a location that you can access, such as
your desktop.
For this example, we will assume that brcom_200911.exe was downloaded
and saved to the desktop.
2. Rename the newly downloaded executable (example, BRCOM_200911.exe
-> BRCOM.exe)
Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the location where you saved
the BRCOM_200911.exe (in this example - your desktop) and rename
it BRCOM.exe
3. Rename your original executable (BRCOM.exe -> BRCOM_backup.exe)
From within Windows Explorer navigate to the working directory of
Treasury Software. The default location may vary slightly by version:
c:\Program Files\TreasurySoftware\
c:\Program Files\Treasury Software\Treasury Desktop
Rename the file BRCOM.exe to BRCOM_backup.exe
4. Copy the new executable into the working directory of Treasury
Software
From within Windows Explorer copy the file downloaded and renamed
in steps 1 and 2 to the working directory located in step 3.
Confirm
Run Treasury Software and enter into an account. From the main program
menu select Help, then About. Note the version number, date and
service pack. You should have the same version number as earlier,
but with a new service pack and date.
Tip:
If Treasury Software is installed on other workstations, repeat
this process.
