Treasury Software Reinstalls
Use this checklist to install Treasury Software on an additional workstation - or to move the software to a new computer.
The following instructions only apply to the Desktop platform. See the SQL Express or SQL Server install instructions for help with those platforms.
On the original workstation:
--a. Using Windows Explorer on the original workstation, navigate
to C:\Program Files\TreasurySoftware\Data
--b. Copy the entire Data folder, and its contents, to a network
drive folder.
--c. Start the software and enter into any account. From the main
menu select 'Help', then 'About'. Write down your version number
(including service pack - if any), version date and license ID. Close this window
Skip step 'd' if you are adding an additional workstation. ONLY follow this step if you no longer using the original workstation.
--d. From the program main menu select 'File', 'Enter License Codes', then click on 'Remove License'. This will increase your available license count by one workstation. Exit the software.
On the new workstation:
--1. Install the software.
If you have the original InstallShield setup file, double click
on the file and install the software.
If you do not have the original InstallShield setup file, download
and install the current InstallShield setup file (http://www.treasurysoftware.com/download.aspx)
Note: You cannot copy the contents of the directory from
the original computer to the new computer. The InstallShield setup
file must be run.
--2. Copy all the .BRD files (except Sample.BRD) from the network
drive folder (step 'b') into the Program Files\Treasury Software\Treasury Desktop\Data
folder on the new workstation.
--3. Start Treasury Software
--4. From the main menu select 'File', 'New Account', 'Add an Existing
Account' to your catalog and select the .BRD (account) file to add
to your catalog. Allow the software to update the account(s) if
prompted. Repeat this step for each .BRD (account) file.
--5. Enter your license information - from the main menu select
'File', 'Enter License Codes' and enter your ID and password.
If you do not have a valid license ID and password ...
