System Requirements
Workstation (all platforms):
As a general rule of thumb, use the same sizing for a workstation
containing Treasury Software solutions as you would for the current
version of Microsoft Office.
Minimum recommended:
Operating System - Windows 2000 SP4, XP SP2, or Vista
Processor - Pentium III (or compatible) processor, 600 MHz
Memory - 256 MB RAM
Hard Disk Space - Min 150 MB available disk space (85 MB for program
and support files, the balance for a typical database volume - see
below)
Ideal recommended:
Operating System - Windows 2000 SP4 or above
Processor - Pentium IV (or compatible) 2 GHz
Memory - 512 MB RAM (or greater)
Hard Disk Space - same as above
Notes:
--Database (Desktop only) - The database will increase approximately
50 MB in size per 100,000 records. Please use these benchmarks in
conjunction with your estimated volume of records to properly allocate
disk space. Each account is maintained as a separate database.
Microsoft SQL Server (only required if utilizing
SQL Server or Citrix platform)
*Note - the minimum specifications listed are the minimum specifications
required by Microsoft to run SQL Server 2000 or SQL Server 2005.
Treasury Software does not require a stand-alone server for our
applications.
Minimum recommended:
Processor - Pentium III (or compatible) 600 MHz
Memory - 512 MB RAM
Disk Space - Min 400 MB of available disk space. The SQL database
will increase approximately 340 MB in size (including log files)
per 100,000 records. Please use these benchmarks in conjunction
with your estimated volume of records to properly allocate disk
space. Each account is maintained as a separate database on the
SQL server.
Ideal recommended:
Processor - Pentium IV (or compatible) 2 GHz or greater
Memory - 2 GB or more
Disk Space - same as above
Other factors to consider:
Number of records per batch import - There is a direct correlation
between import speed and size of import file, particularly once
files exceed 100,000 records per import. Increase speed with additional
memory (most significant) and processor speed.
Number of records involved in Automated Transaction Matching (ATM),
Bank Reconciliation only - Also, there's a direct correlation between
ATM speed and number of records, particularly once records exceed
100,000 per ATM. Increase speed with additional memory (most significant)
and processor speed.
