ACH Universal has the ability to create addenda records per NACHA standards.
An addenda record contains additional remittance information for the preceding payment/collection record.
PPD/CCD, also known as PPD+/CCD+
The plus sign (+) above refers to the additional addenda record.
ACH Universal supports PPD/CCD and PPD+/CCD+.
NACHA rules:
The addenda record is optional for PPD and CCD, and only one may be used per transaction.
You have 80 characters of free form text to include in the addenda record.
The addenda record will immediately follow the transaction.
Note that the '7' record (addenda record), immediately follows the '6' record (transaction record).
ACH Universal:
You can easily include the addenda record by:
--including this information in your import file, or
--if using profiles - you can specify the information in the profile, or
--if manually entering records, simply enter it at that time.
TXP - Tax Payments
ACH Universal creates addenda records conforming to the TXP standard.
IAT, CTX and other format specific Standard Entry Class codes
ACH Universal creates the appropriate addenda records for other formats as well.
Please see those Standard Entry Class codes for more information.
Notes:
--The ability to create transactions with single line addenda records requires the Corporate or Advanced edition of ACH Universal.
--The ability to create transactions with multiline addenda records such as CTX and IAT requires the Advanced edition of ACH Universal.
